I had just driven the new car my friend gave me when it was smashed.

The person who smashed the car was Victoria Thorne's male assistant.

He shouted at me with a haughty look on his face: "Don't let me see you again, or I'll find someone to kill you, poor bastard!"

Victoria impatiently threw ten thousand dollars at me and said to me with disdain on her face: "Take the money and get out!"

I laughed out of anger and called Victoria's father directly.
