“Okay, it shouldn't be a big problem.”

As he passed by me, he rolled his eyes at me and said, “If you don't want to go, I'll take Jessica. If we find anything good, it will belong to Jessica. Don't get jealous.”

Saying that he took Jessica's hand and strode back into the high-rise building. I took a few steps back, found a slightly open area and curled up into a ball, holding my head.

Four, three, two, one… As the clock hand pointed to the time of the aftershock from the previous life. The earth rumbled. An aftershock a hundred times stronger than the last swept across the ground.

The surrounding buildings, already teetering on the brink of collapse, instantly crumbled. The building where Jessica and Damien were located was no exception. It was completely collapsing into rubble.

I found an iron rod to lean on and headed toward the city hospital. As I passed by, I heard hysterical screams coming from the rubble.

“Help! Someone, please save us! Help us!”

It was Jessica's voice. I pretended not to hear and hummed a song as I walked toward the evacuation site in a good mood.

“If you like to be together, then stay together.”

As soon as I arrived, I ran into my parents-in-law who were arguing.
