"I'll be the first to offer my condolences on your death," he whispered hatefully.

My tears fell. Not because of this wound, but because of the cruelty of the man I once loved. Dylan left, leaving me in a dying state.

"It seems my destiny is near," I whispered softly. This chest felt so tight. "God, if I'm reborn, please give me a chance to live with happiness." Slowly, everything became dark.

I woke up with a gasp. My vision was blurry, but I could feel that my body was full of medical instruments. Pain radiated throughout my body. I tried to move my fingers, making sure I was still alive.

A voice sounded, chuckling slightly. "You finally came to your senses after two months in critical condition."

I turned my head weakly. "Two months?" I asked, almost in disbelief.

The man nodded. "Yes, two months ago I found you lying on the road. I took you to the hospital, but the equipment there wasn't enough to save you. So, I brought you to Sydney. I have acquaintances here."

I stared at him, still having trouble digesting reality. "Sydney?" I said softly.

All the memories suddenly came back. Two months ago, I almost died because of some asshole named Dylan.
