I replied calmly, “I'm fine!"l
"I originally wanted to take you to the auction..." Willy was clearly speaking to me, but his gaze gently landed on Elena and he even softly kissed the corner of her mouth.
I took a deep breath and said, "I'm fine. What time is the auction? I'll get ready!"
"Oh... it's 4 PM..."
Willy probably didn't expect me to go and his expression became a bit unnatural.
On the entryway cabinet, there was a large box. I immediately recognized it. It was a gown from a custom brand.
I didn't like that brand. So, it must be for Elena.
Elena's face darkened. She leaned close to Willy's ear, whispering, "Take me, or take that blind woman, you choose!"
I pretended not to hear, smiled and said, "Come pick me up in the afternoon, I'll wait for you."
"Okay!" Willy looked troubled and despite Elena's persistent attempts to flirt with him, he ignored her.
The two of them left together without saying a word, as if both were sulking.
I saw through the floor-to-ceiling window that they started arguing downstairs.
In a fit of anger, Willy drove off, while Elena was so upset that she stomped her feet, waiting by the roadside for a long time before finally hailing a taxi.
