Gemma's POV

"What can I do to atone for my father's crime? I really want to pay on his behalf for what he did to your father.” I pleaded with Louis who had been pestering me for a while now. I know he really loved me even before what happened.

“Well, you know I love you so much, we'd been best friends, then lovers. I really want revenge but I can't get revenge from you.”

“This has nothing to do with you.” Louis kept a cool and calm face, glancing on the floor of his room where I came for a visit. His expression made it obvious he was going through a lot of pain from the death of his dad. I really wanted to help him out. He was in a really bad situation right now.

I thought for a while.

“What if I give you some money to help pay your dad's debts?” I asked. He raised his face slowly and stared at him. He looked away and didn't say anything.
