After dinner, I was reading in the study. I closed my eyes and rested when I was tired.
"Lucy?" Gerald called me tentatively. Seeing that I fell asleep, he took a nap blanket to help me cover myself.
The footsteps faded away and soon Gerald's deliberately low voice came from downstairs.
"Yes, give the female lead role to Lolly. This movie was originally made for her. Is she in a bad mood again?"
Gerald sighed helplessly, but chuckled, "Tell her to wait a little longer. I'll take time to accompany her tonight. Also--"
Gerald paused, "Remember to let her wear the newly bought maid outfit."
I suddenly opened my eyes and my heart felt like it was being tightly grasped by someone and it hurt so much that it was bleeding.
At night, after Gerald finished making dinner, a phone call suddenly came.
Gerald frowned slightly and hung up.
Soon the ringing sounded again.
I said lightly, "Why don't you answer it? What if they have something important to talk to you about?"
