I logged out of my account and cried harder against the sheet. I was still in that position when I heard the door open in a blast. Wiping the tears with the back of my hand, I could feel his domineering presence wafting in the entire room, but I took the courage to gaze up at him.

“C-Can we talk?” I managed to ask in between sobs.

He didn’t answer, but his cold glare sent chills down my spine. And before I could say another word, Sebastian walked towards the bathroom and slammed the door closed. I flinched as the strong impact vibrated through my ears as the slosh of water cascaded from the shower. I am certain he was with that woman all day! I was starting to entertain depressing scenarios in my head when the door to the bathroom swung open. Sebastian walked toward the built-in closet and changed into casual clothes. With that, I hinted that he was not staying with me tonight. The thought only made my heart sink, and the cold knot in my stomach tightened even more.

“Sebastian, please... I have something to tell you,” I pleaded softly, carefully getting out of bed.

He shot me with a hard stare and said, “Unless it’s not important, then don’t push it.”
