Silence. For a split second, I thought the call had dropped. But then I heard the sharp inhale of breath on the other end, followed by his response—cold, calculating.
"Where did you hear that?" His voice was low, a dangerous edge creeping in.
"Does it matter? I saw the pictures, Noah. You’ve been keeping this from me, haven’t you?"
The silence returned, he didn’t say anything. And then, from the background, I heard Sabrina’s voice, a soft, innocent tone that made my blood boil. "C’mon Noah, we need to take more pictures with the baby's scan.”
Noah's next words were cruel. "Willow, don’t do this. Not now. We have the ceremony tomorrow. Just—"
"There won’t be a ceremony," I cut him off, my voice icy. "I reject you, Noah. I reject you as my mate and as my Alpha."
I hung up, my heart pounding, this was the end. I wasn’t going to stand by and let him manipulate me, not anymore. He could have his mistress and their unborn child. I wouldn’t be the Luna in a pack built on lies.
