Margareth was distributing grilled skewers to everyone. She was about to pass a few skewers of shrimp to Christian when I blurted out, "He can't eat seafood!"
There was a moment of silence.
Everyone's gaze was fixed on me. Including Christian, he stopped moving his hands and stared at me in surprise. "How did you know?"
I knew six years ago that he was allergic to seafood.
I liked eating shrimp. Christian always peeled a plate of shrimp for me. After peeling them, his hands would be allergic and swollen, but he always hid it from me.
"I want you to enjoy your meal." The man loved me enough that even though he knew he was allergic to seafood, he still helped me peel shrimps.
However, I loved him too and since then I had never eaten any seafood in front of him again.
Just when I was at a loss and embarrassed, I gave a bitter smile and answered, "I am a student of traditional medicine and I can tell a little bit about a person's physical condition."
Dabney suddenly sat next to me in surprise.
"You're so awesome, Yasmin."
She approached me with a mysterious look on her face and whispered in my ear. "Can you help me see when I can get pregnant?"
I felt like I was struck by lightning.
