I told her the truth. Facing outsiders, I always called William "Mr. Thompson" and only called him differently in special occasions or under his command.
"I'm not looking for him. I'm looking for you. You were the bitch who seduced my cousin and told William to target him with lies, weren't you?" she said.
Cousin?
I secretly raised my eyebrows. That fat guy from a few days ago was actually Olivia's cousin?
I shook my head to suggest that I didn't know what she was talking about. However, my innocence seemed to be a provocation to her as she slapped my face.
"You know what? I can make you disappear right here, right now!" she shouted.
I tilted my head and covered my cheek, which was beginning to swell. I was not sensitive to pain as I had endured much more pain than this, let alone a mere slap in the face.
So I just stared at her woodenly and continued, "Ms. Lewis, I really have no idea what you are talking about."
Her visit was not complete for her cousin. In fact, she held a grudge about William increasing attention to me. He even refused to let me serve a foreign businessman, which made her restless.
