Just as I was enjoying the roar of the engine and taking the salesgirl for a spin around the neighborhood, I saw Wendy standing there with her arms crossed, looking furious.

She came straight at me, ready to slap me again, but I caught her wrist and pushed her away.

"Landon, have you lost your mind? You're in your thirties and you just spent over forty hundred thousand dollars on a motorcycle! Are we still supposed to live like this?"

We had about ninety thousand dollars in joint savings, and my spending half of that was enough to drive her into a rage.

I ignored Wendy's outburst and turned to the stunned salesgirl.

"Sorry to scare you. There's still over forty hundred thousand dollars on this card, keep it as a tip."

I revved up the bike and took off with the beaming beauty behind me. I was determined to spend every last cent, leaving Wendy with nothing from this marriage.

"Landon Lake! I want a divorce!"

That evening, I booked an entire club for me and my buddies. Amidst the cheers of "Tonight, everything's on Mr. Lake!" the dance floor was filled with women of all types, twisting their bodies to the beat, each trying their best to catch my attention.
