Betty looked very anxious. "Oscar, do you really think the witch's method works?"

Oscar patted her back to comfort her. "Relax, it's sure to work."

I frowned and was about to turn away.

However, I heard Oscar's voice.

"Lily."

His tone was still so arrogant, "Where are your parents?"

I couldn't bring myself to face him with any emotion, so I spoke expressionlessly, "What's up?"

He furrowed his brow, seeming unhappy with my attitude, "What kind of attitude is this? Are you throwing a tantrum again?

"The antivenom's already been given to you, what's the problem now?"

Oscar stepped forward and grabbed my arm, questioning me.

Our skin touched, and the thing I loved most about him was the physical contact. But now I instinctively pushed him away.

"What's wrong with you? Let go of me!"

Oscar's hand was being held back for the first time.

He stood there for a moment, looking incredulous.

"What's gotten into you?"

I finally lost my temper and erupted in anger in front of him.

"Yes, I am crazy, I'm crazy to have been with you for so long!"

As soon as I saw Oscar, I thought of that rainy night, when I knelt before him, begging like a dog in desperation.

I thought of the eleven death notices.
