His hand, holding the wine glass, paused noticeably. He became somewhat unnatural.
He pretended to be calm and took a sip of wine, his Adam's apple rolling up and down. It was revealed that he didn't mean what he said. The statement that he and Lucy were just buddies was a false one.
"Lucy is using me to make him jealous."
I sighed gently.
I didn't want to spoil her excitement of signing a big contract today. I smiled at everyone present.
Lucy pulled a girl over and almost stuffed her into my arms.
I wondered what she meant.
