I smiled slightly, pretending not to hear Linda's boastful tone. Then I casually flipped through the menu, sneering in my heart.
"The dishes on this menu are really good. Have you ordered yet?"
Linda smiled proudly, "Of course, Phil and I researched the restaurant in advance, and all we ordered are the specialties of this restaurant. Mandy, you have definitely never eaten them."
I nodded slightly, "That's great. I'm going to try it."
As I said that, I deliberately glanced at Phil. He seemed a little embarrassed and avoided my gaze.
Linda didn't seem to notice the subtle atmosphere and continued to talk nonstop, "Phil is very good to me. Look at this necklace. He just gave it to me yesterday to celebrate our marriage."
As she spoke, she deliberately shook the necklace on her neck in front of me and had a smug look in her eyes, as if to say, "Look, I am the winner."
I sighed softly, showing an envious look.
"He is really thoughtful. Linda, you are so lucky."
But I was thinking, "I'm definitely going to play the game with you guys well."
After all, I had received the necklace in my previous life, and later I found out that it was bought by Phil on eBay for twenty dollars.
