It was time to implement the next step of the plan.

The same night I promised Dylan, I contacted his counselor in front of him.

I said that Dylan was getting married and wanted to take some leave for a while.

The counselor was shocked and tried to stop it.

"He is in a critical period now, and Dylan has the potential to be admitted to the top University. How can you, as a parent, allow him to be so willful? Besides, he is not yet of legal marriage age, so how can he get married?"

I snorted.

"Ms. Scott, you don't understand this.

"What's the point of studying? Is it more important than the love of my son?

"The most important thing for a man is to find a good wife. I have cultivated him for so many years just to help him find a good wife. Now that the goal has been achieved, Dylan naturally doesn't need to study anymore.

"Since he hasn't reached the legal age for marriage yet, he can hold the wedding first. I can't let go of such an excellent daughter-in-law."

The teacher was speechless with my arrogance and unreasonableness. She felt it was not necessary to persuade me any further, so she just said a few perfunctorily and agreed to Dylan's leave.
