I Never Want Your Love Again1
On a cold winter night, a car skidded out of control and hit my mom's Hamburg stall.
When I arrived at the hospital, my mom was already on the verge of death.
"Queenie, I won't be able to see my precious grandson being born, and I won't be able to take care of your child anymore..."
Before my mom could finish her sentence, she took her last breath.
I was heartbroken and called my husband more than ten times.
When he finally answered the phone, I cried and told him about my mom's car accident and death.
But he impatiently said, "Queenie Chilton, have you finished? You said you were pregnant a while ago, and now you're saying your mom died in a car accident. You're really trying hard to find excuses to make me come back."
Then, I heard his mistress's sweet voice on the other end of the phone, "Queenie, I've got a stomach tonight, Wilson Williams brought me to the hospital. So, you don't need to make up such excuses to ask him to go back. By the way, why are you cursing your own mother like that?"
