"Today, I want to go shopping on the street. I know Gavin usually drives you to and from work. Can you give me a ride?"
"Um..." I was a bit conflicted. After all, I couldn't be sure if she had feelings for Gavin. Maybe I was just overthinking it.
"But... what if?"
"Although Gavin is not attractive, he is good to me, and I like him."
I was in a relationship with him to get married.
"The car is messy, so it is not convenient." I politely declined her and hurriedly left, for fear of being bothered by her again.
I ran downstairs out of breath and got into Gavin's car.
"Why are you running? You're so tired." Gavin handed me two pieces of tissue from the front seat.
"Hey? Isn't that your roommate?"
I turned around and looked shocked. She followed me downstairs.
"Hurry up and let's go." I urged him in a low voice. Unfortunately, he didn't hear me.
Eileen leaned over and tapped on the car window, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
Gavin rolled down the car window and said, "Is there something you need, Miss Solomon?"
