After a tense standoff, I finally sneered, "You're her husband and you don't know where she is? How should I know? Maybe I should ask those guys she's with, one of them might be able to tell you!"

Henry's anger flared, his face darkening dangerously, on the verge of exploding.

He grabbed my collar, yanking me up from the ground.

Just as he raised his hand to strike, one of the bodyguards noticed the plane tickets on the coffee table.

In the next moment, the tickets and the documents from my company, showing that I was to go abroad for training, were handed to Henry.

He glanced at them with disdain, a mocking smile spreading across his face.

"Ruined my wedding, made my bride disappear, and you still think you can escape the country?

"Dream on, you'll have plenty of time for that after you're dead!"

With that, he pulled out his phone and called my boss.

I immediately reached out to stop him, but the bodyguards restrained me, pinning my limbs down.

"Back when we were in love, Henry introduced me to the company, and I worked hard to earn my current position.

With just a word from him, my career could be destroyed."

The thought of this made panic surge through me.
