Then she twisted my brother's arm. "Shane, Olivia is already giving me attitude before I'm married. Do I have to deal with this outsider once I move in?"

Shane glanced at me awkwardly, giving me a pleading look. "Olivia, it's Jane's first day here. Can you give her a break?" he said.
I took a deep breath. Fine, for my brother's sake, I decided not to argue with her.
Jane saw me calm down and started to chatter even more.
"You're just bored and have nothing to do! You should be out dating instead of sitting around. No wonder you're so old and still not married!" she said.
I turned and glared at my brother. Shane quickly put his arm around Jane's shoulder. "Please, stop talking," he said.
Jane noticed the exchange of looks between me and my brother. Suddenly, she got a mischievous look and shook off his hand, starting to stir trouble.
"Shane, I think she cares more about that cat than you," she said.
I almost laughed in anger. "Did you eat something disgusting? Your mouth is so foul," I said.
Jane's expression changed. "Do you think I want to interfere? But who asked you to stay here constantly without getting married, freeloading, and even keeping a useless pet?
