My Dear, When He Comes BackChapter 1

I woke up in the hospital.

My throat was dry and burning, rendering me ill at ease.

I looked around the ward and saw no one, so I had to reach for the water on the table myself.

At this moment, a nurse pushed the door open and came in. Seeing that I was awake, she quickly came over and helped me up.

"Mrs. Lawson, you're awake. Mr. Lawson is next door now." She glanced at me cautiously and asked, "Do you need me to call him over?"

Today, Alana Ward and I fell into the water at the same time. Easton chose to swim towards her without hesitation. I fell into the deep water in desperation.

I endured the pain and said with a dry throat at the thought of this, "No need."

After the nurse helped me finish the drip, she left the ward.

I closed my eyes. The scenes of what had happened today kept replaying in my mind.

Today was Easton's birthday. He had a birthday party on a luxury cruise ship.

As his wife, I naturally showed up with him.

When he appeared holding my hands, he seemed distracted, constantly searching the crowd with his eyes.

It wasn't until he gazed at a corner that he smiled.
