He viciously said, "Mila, since you're so stupid that I can trick you all here easily, I'll spare you this time. But if you keep messing around, I'll really kill you!"

Five minutes later.

My mother and I were locked up in a room in the basement.

Mila, whose head was covered in blood, was temporarily bandaged because she was still useful.

My mother was so anxious that she was at a loss. She cried regretfully, "How could this be? What should I do?"

Until she saw me sitting silently aside.

My mom suddenly stopped crying and said in confusion, "Lainey, why aren't you talking? We've all been deceived! We don't know how Mila is doing. Aren't you worried? Why are you so cold-blooded?"

I looked into her eyes as if I had seen her yell at me resentfully in my previous life. "Why aren't you the one being deceived?"

I was disappointed and didn't want to talk to her anymore.

So I deliberately said, "Keep shouting, and they'll come over. Those desperados versus the two of us. Guess what will happen?"

My mother was afraid and immediately covered her mouth. Then, she squatted on the ground in horror.

A sardonic smile twisted my mouth.

After a while, the empty basement became quieter.
