The door lock was opened and Ariana helped Lucas walk inside, while accurately turning on the corridor light at the door with one hand.
The sudden light was a bit dazzling, so I raised my hand to block it and heard a timid voice.
"Miss Riley, Mr. Schmidt is drunk. I am sending him back."
I glanced at the two people in front of me. Lucas was already drunk, with two blushes on his cheeks, his suit jacket draped over his shoulders and two buttons of his shirt undone.
Meanwhile, Ariana looked a little drunk and her cheeks were also red.
I lowered my hands that were blocking the light and smiled.
"Thank you for sending him back so late. Actually, you could have just dropped him off at a nearby hotel."
"How could I do that? Staying in a hotel is not clean," she said as she carefully placed Lucas on the sofa and stood in place, looking reluctant to leave.
"Why, is there anything else?" I asked her in wonder.
"No ... then I'll excuse myself. Goodbye, Miss Riley."
While saying goodbye to me, Ariana's eyes remained fixed on my boyfriend.
She turned to leave, but the drunk Lucas grabbed her wrist and said, "Where are you going?"
Looking at that hand, I felt like there was a prairie above my head.
