Noah opened the door and walked out. When he saw me outside the door, a hint of a smile flashed across his eyes as he spoke as if nothing had happened.

"Lily, when did you get here? Why don't you come in?"

I suppressed the anger and smiled, trying my best to speak calmly.

"I just arrived. I was afraid of disturbing you."

Mike stepped forward and took me into his arms. He was good-looking and he looked like a gentleman as he spoke gently.

"Baby, leave him alone. Why are you here? It's noon. Let's go eat."

Thinking of his hypocrisy, I resisted the urge to beat him up and nodded gently.

"Okay."

Noah gave me a meaningful look and left.

The meal was boring, but I pretended to be happy.

After lunch, we happened to meet Cindy, who was passing by.

Her eyes lit up and she said in surprise, "I didn't expect to meet you here."

Cindy took my arm and winked at Mike as she tilted her head and spoke in a sweet voice.

"Mr.Jones, can you give me a drive?"

Mike gently looked at her and replied softly, "Of course."

I looked at them indifferently as the two of them ignored me. It was only when I saw the love in his eyes that I realized how ridiculously wrong I had been in the past.
