I guessed in my heart, "But I don't think he gets along with Tara. Is he spoiling me?"
Tara didn't run far, nor did she go out. She was still in the yard.
While seeing Cesar off, I overheard Tara say to Fiona, "Mom, don't you want me anymore?"
At her pitiful look, I couldn't help but feel moved.
At the thought that I had been abducted and this was my home, I felt that it was nothing.
"Tara, why would I drive you away? When your mother handed you over to me personally, I promised her that I would treat you as my own daughter, and that you would be my biological daughter forever."
"Cara is older than you. From now on, call her sister. You are both my precious daughters."
Joseph said, "Tara's mother was our servant back then. After you were lost, her mother accompanied mom for a walk every year. Then a car hit her and she passed away, making Tara a parent-less kid. Feeling sorry for her, mom raised her as her own daughter."
Looking into my eyes, he added, "But you are my only biological sister and the real lady of the Smith family."
Joseph's words touched me. I thought that I shouldn't be here by fate, but all my family members were trying to make me feel welcome.
