This meant that my relationship with Anna was about to come to an end.

Before I could get home, I received a call from Anna. Her tone was urgent, almost begging.

"Honey, you have to help me. A major client's contract has recently expired and he no longer plans to cooperate. If we lose this major client, Jonah... My leader's position and my position may be lost."

In fact, she was doing it for Jonah. I wanted to hang up the phone, but when I thought of her anxious begging, I couldn't bear it.

"What can I do for you?"

"You helped me with that deal back then. Can you help me again?"

After hesitating for a while, I agreed and made a request.

"Okay, but you have to go with me to a place. My hometown."

My father was usually busy with his work, and his only wish was to go back to the Hampton family's cemetery to pay his respects in person. Now that he passed away, I should help him realize this wish.

I didn't ask Anna to go back with me on a whim.

I wanted to take her through the places we've been before, hoping that it would let her recall some memories of us.

We had been in love for five years, so subconsciously I still couldn't bear to let her go.
