"I don't know... I don't know anything..."
Hearing their conversation, I felt it was incredibly familiar.
Walking forward along the sound, I saw Samuel picking up a wine bottle on the ground and smashing it on a man again and again.
He didn't look like the cool, aloof, and well-educated person in school at all, but more like a ruthless school bully.
I asked in a timid voice, "Samuel, what are you doing?"
Samuel paused before looking at me. At that time, his eyes were bloodshot. It seemed that he was still unable to get rid of his anger.
I took a step back in fear, but he hugged me in the next second.
He hugged me tightly, unwilling to let go. He seemed to have found a lost treasure.
"Sorry."
I felt his body trembling with fear. Then, I was startled as I felt a hot and wet heat on my neck.
Samuel cried.
But why?
To alleviate his emotion, I tugged at the corner of his clothes.
Then, I said softly with a smile, "Samuel."
"Happy birthday."
That night, Samuel took me home.
Unfortunately, the birthday cake was already dirty because it fell to the ground.
As if sensing my upset, Samuel pursed his lips slightly with a frown. Finally, he said only three words, "Wait for me."
