1. Boil the cloves: Place the cup of water in a pot and add the cloves. Bring to a boil for 10 minutes so that the water absorbs the active compounds in the cloves.
  2. Let cool: Once boiled, remove from heat and allow the infusion to cool completely.
  3. Filter and mix: Strain the preparation and pour the liquid into the spray bottle. Add the alcohol, detergent, and drops of citronella essential oil.
  4. Shake well before use: Shake the bottle vigorously to integrate all ingredients before each application.
  5. Application: Spray the mixture in areas where insects tend to appear: corners, behind furniture, door and window frames, under the sink, and near trash cans. In the case of mosquitoes and flies, you can also apply it to curtains, window frames, and balconies.

How to enhance its effectiveness?

To make this repellent even more effective, we recommend adding a few drops of citronella essential oil, a well-known natural repellent used in candles, lotions and air fresheners. The combination of the strong scent of clove with citronella creates a powerful barrier that insects simply can’t stand.
