At that moment, Reed Lawson entered the lobby. Expensive suit. Confident stride. A man used to power bending around him.

“Evelyn,” he said, forcing a smile. “What is happening.”

Brianna clung to his arm. “She attacked me. She humiliated me in front of everyone.”

Reed looked at Evelyn with irritation. “We can handle this privately.”

Evelyn met his gaze steadily. “Your intern assaulted my dignity and disrespected our staff. And you defend her.”

The valet cleared his throat. “Sir, I witnessed everything.”

Reed glanced at him coldly. “You will retire soon anyway.”

A ripple of discomfort spread across the crowd.

The doctor beside Evelyn spoke then, his voice controlled yet firm.

“Reed, you will not intimidate staff in this hospital.”

Reed snapped. “Stay out of my marriage, Adrian Cole.”

Evelyn turned to Reed. “You brought your mistress into my workplace and allowed her to degrade my people. This ends today.”

Reed froze. His eyes darted toward the phones now recording openly.

He dropped to his knees suddenly.

“Evelyn, please. Do not destroy us here.”

Brianna stared at him in disbelief. “You promised me everything.”

Evelyn raised her hand slightly. Security was already approaching.
