Still, Fitzwilliams believes the biggest challenge lies ahead if the Sussexes attempt a joint return to the UK—particularly given Meghan’s low popularity ratings with the British public.
“If Harry wants to bring his children to a country Meghan doesn’t want to appear in, that will only deepen the strain,” he warned. “Her return could be a complete catastrophe, depending on how it’s handled.”
Despite the noise, the expert insists the couple remain emotionally committed. However, he adds that the UK question could become a defining moment for their marriage.
“It would take an earthquake of an event for them to divorce,” he said. “But there’s no doubt this would be one of the biggest tests they’ve faced yet.”
