Prince Harry has once again stirred debate after likening life inside the Royal Family to the world of Downton Abbey—only with far more real-life chaos. While the joke landed well with some, critics argue it may have further damaged any remaining chance of peace with his father and brother.
Harry’s Downton Abbey Quip
During a British American Business Council event in Los Angeles on Friday, the Duke of Sussex, 41, joked about his royal upbringing by comparing it to the famous British period drama.
“People sometimes ask if growing up with the Royal Family was a bit like Downton Abbey.
“Yeah, but only one of those worlds is filled with drama, intrigue, elaborate dinners, marriages to Americans – and the other is a TV show,” he told the audience.

Jokes About US Life and Donald Trump
Harry didn’t stop there. He also poked fun at life in the United States, including immigration restrictions under President Donald Trump.
While discussing the upcoming FIFA World Cup, he joked that British fans would need to “behave, get through customs, and past ICE” to catch England’s matches.
