• 2 tbsp cooked white rice – peptides that stimulate collagen gene expression

  • 3 tbsp concentrated rice water (or rice wine) – amino-acids and minerals that firm skin

  • 2 tbsp pure aloe-vera gel – hydrates and encourages new collagen fibres

  • 1 tbsp rose water – calms redness with natural antioxidants

  • 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice – provides natural vitamin C to boost collagen cross-linking

  • ½ tsp unflavoured gelatin or 1 g agar-agar – natural gelling base

Procedure

  1. Blend the cooked rice with rice water until smooth and creamy.

  2. Warm the mixture gently; whisk in gelatin (or agar-agar) until fully dissolved, then let it cool to lukewarm.

  3. Fold in aloe-vera gel, rose water and lemon juice.

  4. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until the gel sets.

Instructions

  • Perform a 24-hour patch test before first use.

  • Massage a thin layer onto clean face, avoiding the eye area; leave for 15 minutes, then rinse with cool water.

  • Use three times a week for best “glass-skin” results; store the gel in the refrigerator and use within seven days.
