Hadwin was even more angry. “Look at you, look at Rowena, you are completely different from her! Why did I marry a shrew like you? Get back quickly, don’t show up in front of me. Don’t embarrass yourself here and affect the firefighting!”
I was so angry that I almost fainted on the spot.
After taking several deep breaths, I finally found my voice. “Hadwin, what are you crazy about? Do you really think you are a hot commodity? I don’t want a rotten cucumber like you! And you!” I looked at Rowena beside me. “Hadwin and I have signed a divorce agreement a long time ago. We are just waiting for the cooling-off period to get the divorce certificate. Don’t act here. If you dare to do this to me again in the future, I will not be so good-tempered.”
Hadwin and Rowena were stunned for a moment, as if they didn’t expect me to say that. Their faces were not very good. Hadwin stammered, “In this case, why did you call me?”
“I called you because the old house at home caught fire!” I was so angry that if Hadwin hadn’t asked, I would have forgotten my purpose.
Hadwin frowned and before he could speak, Rowena said first, “Fire is not a joke. Do you know how many disasters a fire may bring?”
