After I said that, I received a hard slap. I was shocked and touched my stinging cheek.
"Say that again, and you'll regret ever crossing me!"
At that moment, I saw a furious glint in Matthew's eyes, and I never expected he harbored such a dark side. I must have been blind for years, clouded by rose-tinted glasses.
"Matthew, if I had known from the start that you would treat me like this, I wouldn't have married you. That’s my biggest regret!" I dictated, my voice steady despite the fear creeping in.
He merely smirked, "It's too late now, Lorelei. You can't escape me, you belong to me!"
Before I could react, he suddenly grabbed me and dragged me toward the bed, forcing me to comply with his demands.
“Let me go, Matthew!”
I struggled to break free, but he was too strong, pinning me down on the bed. With a swift motion, he tore off my shirt, exposing my chest to the cold air.
"Lorelei, you’re mine, and only death can separate us."
As he leaned in to kiss me, a surge of desperation ignited within me. I grabbed the lamp beside me and swung it at him, the ceramic crashing against his head.
