As I held my beautiful daughter, whom I named after my grandmother, I cried while I gently whispered to her tiny ears, “I’m sorry, my baby. It was my fault for making you weak.”
After I gave birth to my weak daughter, Jeremy visited me even less. To him, I was nothing but a failure because I only gave birth to a daughter instead of a son who would be able to inherit the pack. While Olivia was being showered with attention non-stop from my husband, the man ignored me as if Marianne and I never existed.
However, Jeremy started to show attention to his daughter as the elders from his council pitied me and our daughter. It all happened when we were having a banquet with the elders, discussing about a possible alliance with the White Fangs Pack.
“I must go to Olivia. She misses me,” he said as he brushed me off coldly.
“You should go then if you want to risk losing an alliance with the White Fangs Pack,” I told him, speaking for the first time since I discovered his affairs with Olivia.
“How dare you talk back like that!” he shouted at me.
