“You must be mistaken. I’m a local here and have never been to Evolle City,” I said, startled that someone recognized me, but I tried to brush it off.

“Impossible. Grayson was raised in the Turner family. Someone from here couldn’t have such a demeanor.”

“Miss, the manager is calling me. If you don’t need anything else, I’ll take my leave.”

She waved me off, letting me go without any trouble.

Once outside, I went straight to find the guy who tricked me into going there.

“What’s your deal? We’re colleagues. Why did you trick me?”

“You obviously look like a rich kid experiencing society. Why are you pretending and taking our jobs? How much is the boss paying you?”

I couldn’t be bothered to answer and turned to the manager to resign.

Although I didn’t want to, I couldn’t take the risk. If Isla found me, all my efforts would be wasted.

After hiding for a few days, I realized no one was looking for me.

I completely relaxed and decided to go to a nearby city to find work.

I had learned many things at the Turner residence, and Isla was happy to teach me various skills.

I could play golf, ski, race cars, and even drive a speedboat.

In the town, I couldn’t use these skills.
