It looked innocent,but Wendy understood.Still,Wendy no longer felt pain.She only wanted her brother’s second trial to end quickly.
So the day before the trial,Wendy demanded that Jack come home no matter what.
Jack came back,but his heart wasn’t there.Tiara said she was scared to be alone,so Jack stayed on a video call with her.
Tiara said she had no appetite,so Jack cooked dinner and sent it to her by driver.
Tiara said she wanted to see him,so Jack came to discuss it with Wendy.
“Wen,Tia needs me.I’ll go stay with her tonight.I promise I’ll be on time for your brother’s case tomorrow.”
A strong sense of unease rose in Wendy’s heart.“Jack,I’m begging you.Just stay here for one night.After tonight,you can do whatever you want.I won’t interfere.”
