No matter how much Wendy begged,Jack only said,“Wen,we won’t divorce.But I can’t ignore Tia either.”
“I promise you,I will be there for your brother’s case tomorrow.”Jack walked out of the villa quickly.
Wendy watched his back and cried.No matter how many times it happened,she could never keep him.
Wendy didn’t sleep all night.Early the next morning,she called Jack.He picked it up and said he would definitely arrive on time.
Wendy believed him.But even when the judge entered the courtroom,Jack still didn’t come.
The judge struck the gavel.“Since the plaintiff’s lawyer is absent,the second trial is now closed.No further appeal will be accepted.”
Those words completely broke Wendy.She knelt beside her brother Cedric and apologized.

For two whole years,Wendy forced herself to be strong.She believed there was hope in the second trial.
