6. Fried foods
Fried foods can interfere with the absorption of thyroid medication and also with the activity of the gland. It is recommended to avoid them or consume them in moderation.
7. Caffeinated beverages
Coffee, especially if consumed along with thyroid medication, can affect the absorption of the medication. It is suggested to wait at least 30-60 minutes after taking the medication before drinking coffee.
8. Alcohol
Alcohol can negatively affect both the thyroid and the liver, the organ responsible for metabolizing hormones. Excessive consumption can aggravate hypothyroidism.
